A patient just showed me a new therapy that allows you to have a colonoscopy without having to do the bothersome preparation with the colon cleansing medications. It’s called HyGieaCare, and it’s a rapid enema treatment that clears the colon to allow for colonoscopy. A group in Phoenix is using this method, and for those of us who cannot attempt the colon prep and all of the attendant diarrhea, this is something worth consider.
